Welcome to Prosecco country, the region in Northern Italy that produces the fresh, fruity sparkler we all love.
Prosecco mostly comes from the Veneto region and the main city is Treviso
Like Venice, Treviso has canals, although there are also paved roads to get around.
This is what’s left of Treviso’s famous Fontana della Tette which, on special days used to dispense red and white wine. Napoleon put a stop to all that frivolousness.
Here’s a replica of the fountain that bubbles happily away in a corner of a shopping mall. Just water these days, though.
